The ASX 200 slipped on Friday but still banked a +0.4% weekly gain as record high gold price and rising rate-cut odds offset weakness across energy, tech and critical-minerals names. Offshore, US equities advanced, Europe edged higher, Japan lagged; the US 10-year yield eased 3 basis points to ~4.02%; the US dollar softened; Brent/WTI fell ~3% on the week.
